Intended Use
Dengue NS1 Ag Rapid Test is intended for the quantitative detection of dengue NS1 antigen in human serum, plasma or whole blood. It is used as an aid in the early clinical assessment of Dengue virus infection.
About Dengue Fever
Dengue fever (DF) is one of the most prevalent mosquito-borne viral diseases in the world, with approximately 3.9 billion people at risk of infection worldwide. Despite a risk of infection existing in 129 countries[1], 70% of the actual burden is in Asia[2].
Since no completely effective vaccines are available to prevent infection from the dengue virus, early recognition and prompt supportive treatment can significantly reduce the risk of complications and death.
